Snowshoe outing in the refuge of Ulldeter

Located in the region of Ripollès, this circular route that we propose you is ideal for all ages, apart from beginners who want to be initiated into this exciting world of the snowshoeing. We will learn how to use the equipment, how to put it on and how to progress. We will discover the corners of the Nature Park of the Headwaters of the Ter and the Fresser rivers, which will surely not leave us indifferent.  In this circular route we will discover very interesting places such as the refuge of Ulldeter, a mountaineering benchmark, from where we will see the most famous routes of climbing in this area and what the summits that surround us are. We will also pass by the ancient refuge of Ulldeter, where we will be told how it was used for and what his history was, something that will surely surprise us. Finally, we will reach the headwaters of the Ter River, from where the ski slopes of Vallter 2000 take their name. With the assistance of a guide we will learn some curiosities of the flora and fauna that surround us as well.

Itinerary: Car Park of the refuge of Ulldeter – refuge Ulldeter – ancient refuge of Ulldeter – the headwaters of the Ter – refuge of Ulldeter – car park of Ulldeter.

 

Slope: 300 metres.

Duration: 3 hours.

 

Difficulty: Initiation.

Equipment required: Sunglasses (minimum protection factor: 3 o 4), waterproof hiking boots, two or three pairs of thick socks, thermal pants and T-shirt (first layer), warm pants (second layer), waterproof jacket and pants (third layer), waterproof gloves, another pair of warm gloves and spare ones. Headlamp, a change of clothes and a mountain backpack of about 30 litres.  A sleeping bag is also required.

Food and drink that need to be brought: Water (at least a canteen of 1 litre) and, to eat, food-bars, one or two sandwiches minimum and some piece of fruit.

Meeting point: We will meet in the lower car park of Vallter 2000.

Within the price of the trip are included:

  • Guidance of the activity with a certified guide or guides and advice 

  • Public Liability (PL) and accident insurance.

  • Photographic report.


Not included in the price:

  • Extra food and drinks. 

  • Transport.

  • Anything not mentioned above.

Prices:

  • 1 person: 120€

  • 2 persons: 60 €/pers.

  • From 3 to 4 persons: 50 €/pers.

  • From 5 to 6 persons: 45 €/pers.

  • More than 6 persons: 40 €/pers.
