CRESTA SALENQUES-Tempestats

When we talk about the crest of willows , we are talking about the queen of the ridges, it is without a doubt the longest ridge we have in the Pyrenees , without a doubt, it is a unique / authentic activity and we will hardly find a similar activity , a ridge that if we want we can reach the highest peak of the Pyrenees, the Aneto with its 3404 meters above sea level in the colossus of the Pyrenees,

If you like strong emotions this is your activity!

The ridge of SALENQUES is one of the most representative and longest ascents in the Pyrenees, running along an edge that starts at the FORCA ESTASEN (3,028mts) and reaches the same roof of the Pyrenees: the ANETO (3,404mts).

The ascent takes place entirely above 3,000mts, passing by the peaks of MARGALIDA (3241mts) and TEMPESTATS (3,290mts) and presents its greatest difficulties in the first part (steps of IV + or V + with long sections from II to III + ).

The usual planning is a two-day ascent, approaching from the Plain of Besurta (1,900mts) to the beginning of the ridge, making a bivouac, and climbing the ridge the next day to Tempestats, down the valley of LLosàs . The option to reach the top of the Aneto involves about an additional 6 hours, counting the descent through the Muhammad Pass .

Hours of activity: 4.30 approach + bivouac + 4.30 ascent to Tempestats + 2h, 30 descent to Cabaña de pescadore s. Fitness required for the activity and minimum level of climbing required (IV +)
